Parties, Parties and more Parties

My 7th birthday was the first birthday party that I remember.  My mom and my grandma made my birthday cake.  It was 2 hearts that were decorated with red jelly-beans.  My parents got me boom box for my gift and I played cassette tapes on there until I wore the tapes out.  The tape would unravel and I would have to stick my pencil into the holes and twist the pencil to get it put back together.  Oh how times have changed.

Ava also had a great 7th birthday party. She wanted a swim/luau themed party.  Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Her cupcake cake was a BIG hit.  An adorable palm tree cake.  I especially loved it because it had globs and globs of icing on each cupcake.  See the pink and orange flower at the bottom of the tree?  I may or may not have scraped that icing off with a spoon and eaten the flowers.  Me=icing obsessed.
Ava may have been a tiny bit happy about receiving her clothes from Nini & Pappy.  Cant really tell from the picture... Ava had a great birthday and a great birthday party.  Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated her life with us.

On to my birthday.  I spent my 32nd birthday with my favorite people on the planet.  Minus one.  Ava and Emma took me out to breakfast the morning of my birthday.

(Delicious food from Egg it on Cafe.)

For dinner we went to my parents and celebrated my birthday.  My mom made me a delicious carrot cake.

A few days passed then it was onto Valentines parties at school.  This year Ava had a fondue theme with fresh fruit, marshmallow's, graham crackers and pretzels dipped in chocolate.  Both girls loved it.

They got home from school and daddy had sent them a camel from Afghanistan.  Emma named her camel "Cammy" and Ava named hers "Carter."

We had a lot of fun these last couple weeks but I am thankful to take a breather because the first 2 weeks of February is always insane.

Enjoy your family~
